Printing and Binding Your Music Book
A standard music book is usually made in A4 format, ensuring that the sheet music is easily readable. However, you can also choose a different size that better suits your music book. When creating a music book, it is important that it can lie flat and that the pages are easy to turn. That’s why music books are typically bound like a magazine: folded and stapled.
Submitting your magazine
Margins: Please ensure a minimum margin of 5 mm to keep your text fully readable
Number of pages: Your magazine file must contain at least 8 pages. The total number of pages should be divisible by 4 due to the folding process. If your file is not divisible by 4, we will add extra blank pages at the end of your file
File layout: Submit your file as individual pages; we will convert them into printable spreads ourselves
Our Tips
You can choose the type of paper yourself. For sturdy pages without any see-through, select at least 160 gsm paper. If you don’t mind a little see-through, you can opt for a lighter paper, such as our Roman paper of 90 gsm, which is off-white and provides a soft appearance and a pleasant reading experience.
