Excellent customer service, product a bit of a letdown

Excellent customer service! Apparently something went wrong with the uploaded documents, but they gave me a call to check up on things. However, I ordered a small set of 18 custom poker cards, and to be honest I was a bit let down when they arrived; I received 15 of them instead of 18, and the cutting wasn't at the quality I expected (rounded corners were still a bit rough, and one of the cards had about 5-6mm cut off from the top)

This was my second experience after a succesful first one with PrintEnBind. This one was less standard ... a large equipment manual I wanted to have at hand on paper printed with clear chapter-separation and only specific pages in color in order to save printing costs. * PDF A4 size, 216 pages (incl. front/back of book) * Colored tables/illustrations/icons on only a limited number of pages (no real high quality-pictures) Had it printed as a book: * A4 Size * Double-sided, front and back single-sided * Firm 100 gram paper * Black and white with a few manually selected pages in color * Seperation sheet ("scheidingsvel") added manually before the first page of each chapter (also lets each chapter start at page on right side) * Wire-o binding (metal spiral black) * Front printed + transparant (this uses 350 gram paper and adds an extra plastic sheet at the front) * Back white + transparant, and back printed (uses 350 gram paper, transparant adds an extra plastic sheet at the back) * Round corners * Default document check * Shipment via post (not urgent) Ordered on Sunday, arrived on next Tuesday (first print, reprint on Thursday). Since the website did not allow for a preview to be shown (for unclear reasons) I was not able to check the final result I could expect. So I double checked the separations sheets positions and pages to print in color twice. At arrival I checked the book and found the separation sheets (they are a kind of cyan color) inserted at the right position, however several of the pages I ordered color printing for were printed in black and white only. Contacted PrintEnBind about this matter via website-chat (which they respond to very fast) and they also came to the conlusion that my order was specified as it should be but that the printing process didn't run like ordered. They immmediately offered me a reprint which I received an e-mail for and should be able to receive by post next day. Since I did not receive an e-mail of shipment that evening I checked the status of the reprint and found it was on hold internally at PrintEnBind for some reason. So next day I contected them via chat again and they explained that the process of printing seemed to fail on combining the adding of separation sheets (which they had as a new service) and color printing of specific pages in a single print. However at the end of the day they had the book reprinted and shipped as I was informed of via e-mail. Next day I received the book and indeed it was now fully printed as ordered and as a kind of apology a discount-code was given for an extra Euro 7,50 off at a next order (and I now had the first print as an extra copy of the manual I could spoil with writing remarks in). So PrintEnBind failed at first but did fix things fully to my expectations and without a hassle. That's the kind of companies I like to do business with. And also this time the 100 gram paper was surprisingly good quality. Due to the plastic cover sheets and rounded edges I have a printed manual that is "every day use" proof.

The 100 gram paper was surprisingly good quality, surface feels much smoother than plain A4 printer-paper does. I am very happy and now have the manual with me on a daily basis (hate to read equipment manuals from screens).

Wonderful little book

Wonderful little book with solid paper, a strong spine and a good mat jacket. Only the photographs are sometimes a little bit dark.

'Tijdschrift' looks great!

I have ordered other types of printwork at printenbind.nl before (binded reports, loose stickers), but this was the first time I ordered a 'Tijdschrift' (magazine) type document. The web-interface made it really straightforward and easy, and the printed results look exactly as I expected (nice print quality, nice finishing and nicely cut). There was some slight 'shifting' visible between the different pages in the same spread (about a mm), but printenbind.nl mentions this in the submission conditions, so no big surprises there. In summary: I'm happy with the results! :)

At first the lady seemed to be bothered…

At first the lady seemed to be bothered by all the questions and not interested at all to help. But then Stanley came to the rescue! The colors on the prints were a lot darker than I had in mind. Stanley understood that expectations were not met and made some test prints until the colors were right, he even printed some extra for free! Thank you Stanley!
