Printer outage – expect delays

There is currently a malfunction affecting both main printers, which has caused a backlog in production. Due to a power outage in Amsterdam West on Tuesday evening, we were unable to complete and hand over all orders to the postal service on time. The same power outage also affected both printers, and they are currently not operational.

Latest update / status

29-10-2025 15:22 The quality issue with the first printer has been resolved; the second printer is expected to be operational by the end of the afternoon
29-10-2025 12:33: One printer is operational again, though there are still some quality issues currently being investigated.
29-10-2025 12:00: Both printers were still out of order, and a technician was working on them.

What is the problem?

Both printers account for about 90% of our total output, so this issue has a major impact on what we can produce. The expectation is that one printer will be up and running again on Wednesday. We will then prioritize orders that are either picked up on-site and/or marked as urgent. It’s still difficult to say how far we’ll get today, but it’s inevitable that some orders will experience delays.

Orders printed on plate material or larger than A3 format are produced on other printers and are not affected by this issue.

Expectation

This problem will continue to be noticeable throughout the rest of the week. Therefore, we also expect delays for new orders. We are prioritizing urgent orders, pickup orders, and those that are already delayed.

Long term

The dependency on these two printers is significant, which is why we are investing in a third printer. This printer is currently being assembled by Canon and is expected to be operational by mid-November.
