What is Wire-o binding?
Wire-o binding is one of the most popular binding methods. When you choose this as the binding option for your book, a ring binder of sturdy Bekaert-steel will be threaded through the book. This is a very sturdy and durable choice. For the ring binder, you can choose between a silver or black wire.
Benefits of Wire-O binding
Wire-O binding is possible for all types of documents: from very small ones (from 60x80mm) to very large ones (max. 297x440 mm). There is no minimum page number required for this book, and up to 472 pages can be bound together in one book. Even if the document you want to be printed and bound has only four pages, it can be bound with this method.
Multiple options for the cover
For Wire-O bound books you can choose between many different covers. For example, your book can have a standard transparent sheet for the front cover, and a black card back cover. But you can also choose to have your own design printed on the back and front cover. This cover is printed on 350 grams card, which offers strong protection and a nice appearance. Do you want extra protection? Then we recommend adding an extra transparent sheet to the back and front of your book.
Wire-o vs Thermal binding
For Wire-O binding, we use a steel ring binder to bind the book. With thermal binding, a linen spine is glued to the side of the book. The benefit of a Wire-O book is that it can be put down completely flat, it is durable and easy to use.
