Why does the number of pages in a magazine need to be a multiple of four?

Magazines are printed on sheets that are twice the size of the magazine when it is unopened. These sheets are attached to each other with staples. The number of pages in a magazine should always be divisible by four, because four pages will be printed on each sheet. Therefore, you will always end up with a multiple of four pages. If you have a document with a number of pages that is not divisible by four, the magazine will end up with unprinted, white pages in it.

What if the number of pages in my document is not divisible by four?

If the number of pages in your file is not divisible by four, white pages will be added to get an amount that is divisible by four. It is best if you place these white pages in the document yourself, but if you are unable to, we can also do this for you. It does not matter where in the file you place the white pages.

Why does a magazine have a minimum of 8 pages?

If a magazine would consist of only four pages, only one sheet of paper would be needed to print it. If you only require one sheet, there is nothing to attach to each other with the staple. If you have a four-page document that you want to be folded, you can order a folded flyer.

In which sizes can magazines be printed?

Magazines are often printed on A4 or A5-size. But of course you can also order a custom size.
