What is the most common/best size for a poster?

Some places where you can hang your poster have a standard size. For example, posters that will be hung in a bus shelter must be an Abri size. Besides, in a very busy and crowded environment, a small poster is very likely to not stand out or almost disappear, making a larger poster more suitable to attract the attention.
