Adhesive binding, also called perfect binding, ensures a beautiful result. The cover of your document will be continuous from front to back and firmly glued around the inner workpiece. The front, back and spine can also be printed with your own design (continuous to the edge). The adhesion is very sturdy and durable for longer and frequent use.
What you need to know about adhesive binding
This binding method is mainly used for reports, readers, and books. Documents with less than 20 pages and documents that have to be fully flattened, are better binded with a Wire-O spiral.
When you choose Perfect binding, you can choose a blank or printed spine. Transparent or black baffles are not possible.
The covers of adhesively binded books are standardly provided with a coating. This ensures that the cover gets a nice shine. It also gives the the cover an extar protectionlayer against splashing water. This is why your book will stay beatiful for a long time! If you want you choose the options borderless or round corners for an extra beautiful finish.
We strongly recommend the borderless option for books with colors/images up to the edge of the design. This option ensures that no white borders are printed around the document and that the images will run all the way to the edge. This will give your book an extra beautiful appearance!
Do you want to give the book a slightly less stiff appearance? Then choose the round corners option. The two right corners get a rounded finish instead of a 'square' corner. This way the book will look a bit more playful! The left corners will still have right angles, because otherwise the glue of the adhesive binding will be visible.
