Thermal binding

Thermal binding ensures a nice result, because the linen backing is glued tightly around the paper. Choose between various options for the front/back, such as transparent, printed cover or black cover. We bind with a Copybinder machine for reliable binding.

What you need to know about thermal binding

This binding method is mainly used for creating theses, readers and books. Documents with less than 20 pages and documents that are fully flattened can better be binded with a Wire-O.

When you choose for Thermal binding, you have different options for the cover. Usually our customers choose a back of black or white cardboard and a transparent front. However, you can also use the front and/or back page of your document as a cover, which we print on our special 350 grams paper type.

Finishing thermal binding

Thermal books with paper type heavier than 80 grams will first be roughened before the back is glued together. This way we ensure that the back stays in place. The flexibility of the spine makes the book very easy to use. Are you planning to use the book very often or is it a thick book? In that case we recommend adhesive binding.

Do you want to give the book a more playful appearance? Choose round corners! The two right corners are rounded. This is why the book looks slightly different than books with 'square' corners. Choose coating on the front if you like a glossy cover. The cover will not only look nice, it will also be extra resistant to splashing water. This way the book will last extra long.
