What is the CMYK colour system?
CMYK is a colour system in which different colours are created by mixing four basic colours. The name CMYK comes from the first letters of the four basic colours, namely Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black (Key).
Which colour system for printing?
In addition to the CMYK system, there is also the RGB colour system, which uses light. Printers work with ink or toner and therefore use the CMYK colour system. When you supply a file that is formatted with the RGB system, the colours may not be as striking as you see them on a screen. If the file is formatted in CMYK colours, the colour approximation is the most accurate.
